Polish digital platform Cyfra+, in accordance with SATKurier.pl announcements, has introduced many changes on its transponders in the night of 7th April 2008. TVP, Polish public bradcaster, announced that its first HD channel TVP Sport HD will debut this summer and will operate separetly from TVP Sport, current sports channel. TVP Sport HD probably will be broadcast only in DVB-T test's transmitters. ››
Russian digital platform NTV Plus (Eutelsat W4 - 36°E and Bonum 1 - 56°E) has gained broadcasting rights to present football championships Euro 2008 in HD. The event will be transmitted on HD Sport. Polsat Sport HD will broadcast the event in Poland. ››
On 13th of November 2008 transmission of Discovery package (Science, Travel & Living and World) on Hot Bird 6 (13E) satellite has been stopped. Channels were available on GlobeCast UK frequency - 11,117GHz, pol. V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 (it is possible that BBC HD Poland will appear here in December 2008). Patio TV, a new Polish channel for young people, has been oficially added to Cyfra+ offer. Station can be found on channel 113 in Cyfra+ EPG. Patio TV is available for Cyfra+ subscribers since the start of its official transmission. more ››
Domo.tv, a new channel dedicated to building, constructing, renovating, interior arrangement and architecture as well as designing and nurturing the greenery, launches on 20th of September. Station will broadcast in hours 7:00-01:00. more ››

A new high definition channel MTVNHD launches on 15th of September. It will be seventh HD station in the offer of Cyfra+ platform and the first international HD music channel. 18th of September 2008 is the date when Cyfra+ officially introduces new smart cards for its new subscribers. As of September 18th distributors will be giving only new cards. Clients who order Cyfra+ before that date will still receive old cards, but later they are going to be exchanged for the new ones. more ››
