A new high definition channel MTVNHD launches on 15th of September. It will be seventh HD station in the offer of Cyfra+ platform and the first international HD music channel. Canal+ Cyfrowy, in cooperation with MTV Poland, is responsible for preparing the play-out of this new channel, which will be distributed in selected countries in Europe and Latin America. more ››

18th of September 2008 is the date when Cyfra+ officially introduces new smart cards for its new subscribers. As of September 18th distributors will be giving only new cards. Clients who order Cyfra+ before that date will still receive old cards, but later they are going to be exchanged for the new ones. more ››

From the 1st of September CANAL+ will broadcast all programs in 16/9 picture format. Viewers will be able to watch, among others, such a hits in 16/9 as: "Live Free or Die Hard" (14.09), "Katyn" (21.09) and "Shrek the Third" (28.09). Cyfra+ has began introducing a new encoding system for cards sent to a cable networks. There's a new ProvID 0068 on some of the channels (so far Seca 2 was identified as 0065). Subscribers will get new smart cards and instructions with the September's issue of Magazyn Plus+. more ››

At the end of July 2008 a new premium sports channel Orange Sport will appear in Cyfra+. Subscribers will probably pay 8 PLN per month for the access to Orange Sport. Canal+ subscribers will be able to watch all the matches of Polish Orange Ekstraklasa without buying additional Orange Sport subscription. All football matches will be available on Canal+ Sport (live or retransmitted). more ››

Domo.tv, a new channel dedicated to building, constructing, renovating, interior arrangement and architecture as well as designing and nurturing the greenery, launches in September. Canal+ Cyfrowy is a producer of the channel. At the beginning, station will broadcast in hours 7:00-01:00. more ››

Canal+ Cyfrowy has intruduced new subscription prices on 1st May. Cyfra+ packages price will be slightly higher - 1 or 2 PLN depending on a package (it is 2,6%). National Geographic HD price is reduced for 1 PLN, prices of other services remain the same. more ››
