Over 300.000 Polish n subscribers

It proves that many new subscribers join "n" platform on a regular basis and their numer is constantly increasing. ››

Polish digital platform Cyfra+, in accordance with SATKurier.pl announcements, has introduced many changes on its transponders in the night of 7th April 2008. TVP, Polish public bradcaster, announced that its first HD channel TVP Sport HD will debut this summer and will operate separetly from TVP Sport, current sports channel. TVP Sport HD probably will be broadcast only in DVB-T test's transmitters. ››

Euro 2008 in HD on NTV Plus

Russian digital platform NTV Plus (Eutelsat W4 - 36°E and Bonum 1 - 56°E) has gained broadcasting rights to present football championships Euro 2008 in HD. The event will be transmitted on HD Sport. Polsat Sport HD will broadcast the event in Poland. ››

BSkyB with Champions League 2009-2012 rights

UEFA has announced that a major package of UEFA Champions League rights for 2009-2012 season in the United Kingdom is awarded to BSkyB. UEFA received offers for the various packages from several of Britain's major broadcasters.



After the first round of bidding, BSkyB became a 'clear winner' for a number of rights packages including exclusive coverage of all live matches plus highlights on Tuesday and all games on Wednesday. BSkyB package also includes simultaneous coverage of the UEFA Champions League final and UEFA Super Cup as well as highlights, delayed matches and football magazines.

The rights will be utilized by all broadcast platforms ensuring large audiences in the UK. Sky Sports 1, 2 and 3, Sky Sports Xtra and Sky Sports HD1, HD2 and HD3 will continue to show live games. Additionally, fans in the UK will have the opportunity to watch Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and Sky Sports News games on the internet via skysports.com and on mobile via Sky Mobile TV.
